How does it work?

Email Forwarding with Websites Downunder enables you to create up to 5 unique email addresses for your domain (e.g., yourname@my-example.com). Incoming mail sent to any of these addresses will be forwarded to the destination email addresses that you specify.

The Email CatchAll will catch email sent to misspelled or non-existent addresses at your domain and then forward it to one address you set.

The diagram below shows how you can use a combination of Email Forwarding and CatchAll to manage your domain's email.

What if I change my email address?

Email messages sent to your domain's email addresses can be forwarded to any active email address you choose. If you change Internet Service Providers and receive a new email address, just update your Email Forwarding features. Any changes you make will not be noticed by individuals sending mail to your email forwarding addresses.

Can I forward email to a Hotmail account?

Yes. A destination address can be the address an Internet Service Provider assigns, or it could be a web-based or free email address.

How can I use my domain name in outgoing email?

You can use your Email Forwarding address as your return address by making a minor adjustment in the return address or reply settings in your email program. The ability to mask your real address depends on the email program you choose to use. Each email program and version requires a slightly different modification. For example, if you are using Eudora Pro Email v4.1, your return address information appears under Tools, Options, and then Getting Started. Be certain that you modify ONLY the return address field and NOT the server information. We can advise you on how to setup your email software, just contact us.

What is the maximum message size I can send?

In order to preserve the integrity of our network, a 5-megabyte per email message size limit is in effect. You may wish to divide a large email into two or more smaller ones or use an FTP program to transfer files in excess of 10 megabytes.

Will using Email Forwarding affect the speed of email delivery?

Email Forwarding will not reduce the delivery speed of your email.

Can I set up mailing lists or multiple recipients?

Yes, just set up two forwards for the same name and sent them to the address you want.
