The Websites
Downunder network was built from the ground up to be the best in the
industry. From BGP4 (border gateway routing protocol) to friendly
peering with other carriers, customers of Websites Downunder can
expect their websites running with the best performance.
A technician is
present at all times at the data center, every day of the week and
year, monitoring all aspects of the equipment, environment, facility
and network. Server software is capable of being pro-active,
stopping problems before they appear. HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, POP3, SSL
services are all checked to ensure exceptional uptime and
reliability.
Access to the Network
Operations Center is monitored by qualified personnel 24 hours a
day, every day. The entire Network Operations Center is monitored,
ensuring prompt response and thorough coverage to fire or security
alarms. We install on each server advanced firewall, encryption,
intrusion detection and other security measures to the highest
degree. All servers are protected via steel cages with biometric
scanning devices in a fortified environment.
Websites Downunder is
connected to a national backbone that is ranked among the top
in the nation. Connections ranging from OC3s (155Mbps) to gigE
(1,000Mbps) connect several major exchange points, forming
rings around the nation.
The self-healing
network architecture virtually eliminates a single point of failure.
In addition to the backbone, backup transit is utilised from
multiple providers in multiple locations to ensure that your data
will arrive via the shortest possible routes. Because of the backup
transit and the many international peers, Website Downunder clients
have the shortest routes to send their data all over the world!
